About Switzerland, Caves and Two Vikings
The Swiss Alps. Up to 4600 meters high, covered with snow and surrounded by silky clouds. That's what I imagined, but instead we crouched in cold caves at night, fell into the river and rubbed in with dirt and paint.
I visited my friend Hjort Cosplay to do some photo shoots with him. Beside a Jedi cosplay in the snow, we took pictures of a ninja outfit in the dark. But in this blog entry, we will first take a look at the Viking photos we did together.
Yascha aka Hjort Cosplay had moved a few weeks earlier and had heard of a beautiful valley that was supposed to be near the new apartment.
The whole thing turned out to be a stroke of luck and the area held some great surprises for us.
But watch it for yourself, because we made a video behind the scenes of our shooting.
We also planned to create a ten seconds long video clip about the costume and its details.
But as we loved the area so much, we invited Marc from Urbis BBQ Welt to shoot a slightly longer clip that would tell a short story.
We had huge problems at night lighting the caves completely, because our previously collected wood had become damp, but that did not stopped us from filming the following video.
Overall, I spent three weeks in Switzerland and waited in vain for snowfall.
It was snowing everywhere in the country, only in our valley we did not see a single snowflake. Unfortunately, it was not possible to go deeper into the mountains at this time.
I extended my stay by three days and we were well rewarded for our patience. As we woke up on the last day, the whole valley was snow-white.
But that is a story for an other article.
Currently I am traveling across Japan for several months. So you can expect more blog entries like this in the future.
